SipUnit 0.0.3a released

Presence Functionality Added to SipUnit

February 21, 2006,
Raleigh, NC.

We are pleased to announce the public release of SipUnit r0.0.3a. This is an Alpha release to give users a preview of the system.

SipUnit provides a test environment geared toward unit testing SIP applications. It extends the JUnit test framework to incorporate SIP-specific assertions, and it provides a high-level API for performing the SIP operations and messaging needed to interact with the application or network element under test.

The following are the highlights of the release.
  1. Added client-side SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY handling (Type II).
  2. Added an utility class to simulate a presence server for the purpose of testing a Type II client.
  3. Added an asynchronous version of makeCall() and more SipTestCase methods: assertAnswered(), assertResponseReceived(x), etc.
  4. Fixed example directory structure in binary distribution packaging.
  5. Fixed miscellaneous bugs.

If you have any questions about the SipUnit project, please contact us by sending an email to sipunit@cafesip.org.
