GWTCOMP 0.0.1b released

First Public Release of a GWT Widget Library for Rich Web Application Development

August 24, 2007,
Raleigh, NC.

We are pleased to announce the first public release of GWTCOMP r0.0.1b. It is a part of the CafeSip common project. We are in the process of standardizing on a set of common components that one or more of our projects are going to use. We are making these components available in their own distributions so that outside applications can also benefit from them. GWTCOMP is first component of the common project.

GWT Components (GWTCOMP) are a set of re-usable graphical components for developing feature-rich web-based applications. The components are meant to complement the features and services provided  by the GWT framework. GWT is a popular framework from Google for developing web-based "rich" applications.

The following are the highlights of the release.
  1. A set of high-level graphical components are provided to support common business functions.
  2. A set of utility classes are provided to support common GWT application needs.

We plan to add more graphical components in future releases.

If you have any questions about the GWTCOMP project, please contact us by sending an email to common@cafesip.org.
